GoogleTalk for Ubuntu

Ok ladies and gents. I'm feeling a little tired so I'll be to the point with this tip. I downloaded the Google Voice plugin (32bit Ubuntu version) from this site. And couldn't figure out why it wasn't working at first. Even realized that the entire file wasn't coming in (though it was very close).

Turned out to be a simple matter of getting the 'direct' url where the file was located by copying the URL from the download manager in Firefox. Then I could go to a terminal windows (command line) and do a wget -c http://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-talkplugin_current_i386.deb which completed the download in less than a minute.
